Google released its new frontier model, Gemini 4 Argon. It claims Argon matches top rivals like GPT-6 Astra and Claude Fable. Argon cuts hedging, repetition and clichés in chatbot replies. Google says it outperforms those rivals on coding, cybersecurity, science, finance and law. It is already used internally for cybersecurity, YouTube comments and drone simulation. The model rolls out today to Pro and Ultra subscribers in the Gemini app. It also reaches Ultra subscribers in Search AI mode and on Antigravity. Pricing starts at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens. Those prices will double at the end of November. It is unclear when or if Plus or free users will get access. The launch follows a limited release to trusted cyber defenders for risk testing.
