Release2026-10-27

Hex announced Hex 4.0 as a from-scratch rewrite for agent-native analytics. It assumes everything is code and needs context and controls. Hex also closed a $100M funding round at a $1.2B valuation. Peak XV led the round with other investors joining. Hex sees the old BI paradigm as over. It believes code-based platforms with trust and governance will replace it. The new architecture enables features impossible on the old one. Hex used agents to write the code for Hex 4.0.
