Anthropic released Claude Opus 5, its new mid-tier flagship model, available immediately across its apps and developer interface at the same price as the previous Opus version. The company reports better results on coding, business automation and scientific research tasks, and says it is its most aligned model so far. It remains behind Anthropic's Mythos 5 on cybersecurity work, and requests flagged by safety filters fall back to the older Opus 4.8.
