Anthropic agreed to spend $45 billion renting AI computing capacity from Nscale's data center development in West Virginia, according to people familiar with the deal. The arrangement runs six years and covers roughly 460 megawatts of power, using Nvidia's Vera Rubin chips that begin coming online late next year. The move follows other steps to secure capacity ahead of a planned stock market listing.
