Cursor launched Projects, a way to run long pieces of work inside its coding tool. A coordinator agent plans the work rather than writing code itself. It creates and manages other agents, running many at once. Each project runs on its own machine in the cloud, so work continues when the laptop closes. The coordinator starts a local agent when something must be tested on the user's own computer. Projects keep a set of files that sync across every machine their agents use. Agents add research and notes on the codebase and on how the user likes work done. Coordinators can also watch a Slack channel, run on a schedule, or follow pull requests. Projects is in beta and rolling out to all users from today.
