Runway announced Solaris, a model that generates an interactive on-screen interface frame by frame as a person clicks and drags, rather than running pre-written code. The company reported a study in which participants preferred its responses to those of a code-generating language model on both instruction-following and natural behaviour. Solaris is not generally available; access is by request while Runway works with selected partners, and it still struggles with legible text and long sessions.
