Draw Things AI released the source code for Local Code. It is a private AI agent for Mac, iPad and iPhone. The app runs DeepSeek 4.1 on device. It includes Python, Node.js and a shell built in. Models are streamed from disk to fit in memory. The agent works inside an app sandbox. It can read and write only in allowed folders. Built-in tools include a browser, document editors and image generation. Performance benchmarks show faster prefill speeds than MLX-Serve and oMLX on M5 Ultra. The code is available on GitHub.
