Google expanded AI Overviews in Gmail search to global users. It was previously limited to US users with English set. The feature is ON by default for admins with required settings enabled. End users need smart features turned on to access it. Rapid Release domains began rollout on September 3, 2026. Scheduled Release domains start full rollout on September 21, 2026. Personal Google Accounts began gradual rollout on September 3, 2026. It covers Business, Enterprise, Consumer, and Education plans. Consumer access excludes the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and Japan.
