GitHub Copilot added agentic CLI customization metrics to its usage API. The fields appear in per-user and aggregate reports. They show which skills, custom agents, MCP servers, slash commands, and plugins are used most. They also show how many distinct items were used. Names for GitHub-provided items are shown, but customer-defined names are grouped under 'other'. Interaction counts for MCP servers increase only on connection attempts. Plugin metrics count only skill invocations tied to a plugin. Empty arrays and zero counts indicate no activity. Reports are available to enterprise and organization admins with the right permissions.
