Healthleap raised $38 million in seed and Series A funding. Sequoia Capital and First Round Capital co-led the $8 million seed round. Hummingbird Ventures led the $30 million Series A. The company builds AI that reads patient records to flag undiagnosed illnesses. Its platform screens for malnutrition, delirium, aspiration pneumonia, and other conditions. It plugs into hospital electronic health record systems to analyze written notes and structured data. The software highlights patients for additional review but does not diagnose. Healthleap now serves over 50 hospitals, including Penn Medicine and Cedars-Sinai. It sells three-year contracts based on licensed bed count and outcome-based pricing. The company plans to expand support to over 40 major health conditions. It also aims to move into outpatient and home care.
