OpenAI published an open letter calling for urgent collective action on cyber defense, signed by roughly 150 companies including Anthropic, Google, Microsoft, AWS, Cisco, Visa and several banks. It argues AI-enabled attacks will grow quickly and sets out expected actions for ordinary organizations, security vendors, governments and AI developers, with particular focus on critical infrastructure such as hospitals and water utilities. The letter carries no binding commitments and other organizations can add their names.
