Uber and Pony.ai will start testing Gen-7 robotaxis in London in weeks. This expands their partnership beyond the Middle East and Zagreb. Uber aims to offer AV trips in 15 cities globally by end of 2026. Pony.ai already runs robotaxis in four Chinese cities. Uber also partners with Wayve for London robotaxis. Wayve raised $1.2B in February 2026 with Uber contributing up to $300M more. Uber uses a multi-partner strategy for robotaxis in other cities like Dubai. The London fleet ownership and operation details are not yet disclosed.
