DoorDash said it has received several hundred orders from third-party AI agents. It completes about 3 million deliveries daily. CEO Tony Xu called agent-based ordering a dynamic but still small area. Users still place most orders through DoorDash’s own app. DoorDash is open to working with third-party agent makers. It may explore advertising within these agents in the future. DoorDash already has its own text-to-order agent, a CLI agent and a chatbot. It also released an MCP for corporate ordering from other chatbots.
