Release2026-09-14

NIST mechanical engineer Rachael Sexton focuses on human factors engineering. She builds software libraries for public domain use. She developed two new reference libraries: Affinis and Contingency. Affinis is a suite of algorithms. Contingency measures algorithm performance. Programmers can use both together to solve problems and assess performance. The libraries support fields like manufacturing and scientific research.

What it unlocks

Programmers can now use Affinis and Contingency libraries to build and assess algorithms.
