OpenAI will give Ukraine free access to its Daybreak cyber defence system. Daybreak quickly finds weaknesses in digital systems and helps develop fixes. Ukraine will also get access to OpenAI’s GPT 5.6 Sol model. The deal aims to protect civilian infrastructure like hospitals and power plants. Ukraine recorded nearly 6,000 cyber-attacks in 2025. OpenAI announced this during the UN General Assembly in New York. The system is designed to defend against both physical and digital attacks. Experts note Ukraine already uses AI tools from other providers like Google.
