Anthropic added custom data retention controls for Claude Enterprise. Organizations can now set retention periods for chats, projects, and artifacts. The minimum period is 30 days. Retention is based on last activity for each data type. Project retention overrides chat retention for chats inside projects. Deletion happens after the period ends, not at an exact moment. Shortening a period schedules immediate deletion for affected data. Deleted data cannot be recovered. Audit logs track all retention-related actions.
