Release2026-10-14

Salesforce introduced IT and HR service management with a CMDB and service mapping. It also added incident and change management. A demo showed an executive running a sales pipeline inside Claude. Salesforce supplied the records and permission rules. Claude supplied the interface and connected view. IT and customer service teams can now share one view of the same outage. A release this month will read logs from tools like Splunk to keep the CMDB current. Salesforce now sells ready-made agents that business users can deploy without IT. Salesforce is working toward a single place to govern all agents. IT operations needs new ways of working to use these innovations.
