Release2026-09-23

Google added occupancy counting for Google Meet on Logitech Gen 2 room hardware. It works on Android-based devices starting with Rally Board 65. Gen 1 devices will gain support in a future CollabOS update. The feature helps organizations optimize real estate and room design. Admins can review and download occupancy data in the Admin console. It does not collect or store personally identifiable information. Data processing happens locally on the device. The camera LED may stay off during counting. Admins must enable the feature at domain, OU or group level. Rollout begins on 28 September 2026.
