The US Justice Department is examining whether investment partners at Andreessen Horowitz are improperly sitting on the boards of competing artificial intelligence companies, according to people familiar with the inquiry. Both firms sell tools for collecting and analysing large amounts of data, and the probe has not resulted in any public action.
