OpenAI detailed a package of commitments supporting the U.S. Department of Energy's Genesis Mission, which spans DOE, its 17 National Laboratories, universities and industry and aims to double the productivity and impact of American research within a decade. The commitments include $4 million in Codex access for roughly 2,000 Genesis researchers, $3 million in API support for two large-scale scientific campaigns, and up to $10 million in API usage for $2.5 million spent. Selected national-laboratory researchers on eligible biology projects will get access to GPT-Rosalind's bioscience capabilities, and trusted lab leaders will receive early access to selected models plus expanded access to advanced cyber capabilities for defensive research.
