GitHub added 24 new triggers for Copilot Automations. It also added 20 new GitHub tools. Automations can now start from external systems via API. They can also chain into multi-step workflows. Users can set AI credit limits per run, day, week, or month. Automations can now use tools from custom MCP servers. Existing automations continue without limits unless configured. The changes apply to paid Copilot plans only.
