Anthropic has merged the Claude browser extension's side panel into the same Claude Cowork session used in its desktop, web and mobile apps, so conversations, skills and connected tools carry across all of them. It is available on Max and Team plans now, with Pro access arriving over the coming weeks. Anthropic also added an automatic check that reviews consequential steps such as sending a message or submitting a form, while warning that hidden instructions on web pages remain a risk.
What changed
Side panel sessions were separate from the Claude apps, so conversations and context did not carry over.

Starting a browser task that reads pages and fills forms across tabs, then finishing the same session in the desktop, web or mobile app.
