Release2026-09-09

Apple will release its rebuilt Siri assistant on September 14 with the operating system updates, but keep it labelled beta. Siri AI works only in English at first. French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish are due in October 2026. It will not be offered in mainland China. In the European Union, Apple is withholding it from iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, while allowing it on Mac and Vision Pro. Users under 13 are excluded. Features that run on Apple's servers face daily usage caps, including Siri AI, photo editing and Image Playground. Apple says wider access will cost money later, without giving prices or dates. Code found in August suggested a waitlist, which Apple has not confirmed.
