Papa Johns rebuilt its digital platform to fix ordering friction and speed. It replaced its 30-year-old in-house point-of-sale system with PAR Technology. The new POS uses an app-like interface for easier staff training. Managers now use AI tools to forecast sales and plan labor. Papa Johns launched Lou AI, an ordering assistant for group orders and customization. Lou AI also suggests loyalty points and coupon codes to maximize value. The chain plans to use AI for more targeted upsell and loyalty offers.
