NIST published a first public draft of the TEVV-Athlon framework, a four-stage method organisations can use to build their own tests of how AI systems perform in real use. It is meant to cover everything from statistical models to large language models and agent-based systems. Comments are open until 6 October 2026, and anything submitted may be released publicly under freedom-of-information rules.
