Anthropic's bankers have begun scheduling meetings between prospective investors and company executives ahead of a possible initial public offering, a person familiar with the plans told CNBC on July 15, 2026. Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan Chase — the three largest Wall Street banks by revenue — are involved in the offering. Anthropic confidentially filed its IPO prospectus with the SEC in June and could list as soon as October, though timing may change; the company declined to comment. Anthropic closed a $65 billion funding round at a $965 billion valuation in May, above OpenAI's $852 billion. OpenAI also filed confidentially in June, so an Anthropic listing would reach public markets first, following SpaceX's June IPO.
