The Conference Board reported that most employer AI training covers basic literacy and simple prompting rather than more advanced skills such as directing AI agents. In a survey of nearly 1,300 workers, just over half said they use AI regularly, while only about a third had received employer training in the past six months. Researchers pointed to a lack of dedicated time, hands-on practice and manager support as the main obstacles.
