Arena Intelligence raised $200 million at a $3.1 billion valuation. Lightspeed Venture Partners and Khosla Ventures led the round. Salesforce Ventures and Dell Technologies Capital also participated. Arena began as Chatbot Arena, a UC Berkeley research project in 2023. It now runs multiple AI model leaderboards. The company plans to launch an Alignment Index on Thursday. The index will measure how safely models work with people. It will track unauthorized actions and false task completions. Arena gets tens of millions of visitors monthly.
