BambooHR surveyed more than 1,600 full-time salaried US workers about daily AI use. Workers spend about an hour and a half a day using or talking to AI. That adds up to roughly 47 days a year. Nearly half of that time goes on fixing errors or rewriting prompts. Most respondents still said they felt confident and enthusiastic about the technology. Many said time savings motivated them. Vice presidents and C-suite staff used AI nearly twice as much as individual contributors. Workers split their time 41% with AI and 59% with people. BambooHR warns mentorship is vulnerable, as over a third said knowledge transfer now happens mainly through AI tools. Some said they would rather ask AI than admit needing help.
