OpenAI released GPT-6.1 Terra. It combines visual reasoning with precise computer use. Standard API prices are 50% lower than GPT-5.6 Terra and GPT-6.1 Sol. It scores 15 percentage points higher on Agents’ Last Exam at one-third the cost. At max effort it is three times as token efficient as Claude Opus 5.5. It is over three times faster than GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Sol. Error rates at low reasoning effort fell by 37 percentage points. It solves 50.3% of Terminal-Bench 4.0 coding tasks at max effort.
