Walmart will launch Agent Profiles next month. Customers can set up dedicated profiles for an AI agent. They can require approval for each purchase or set a spending limit. Walmart is also beta-testing Agent Gateway for developers. It uses the Model Context Protocol to let agents shop without seeing personal data. Updated terms bar agents from receiving payment-card details. Walmart already lets ChatGPT and Google Gemini shop on its site. The new rules keep customers in control of their AI shopping. Walmart stresses transparency and customer choice in its approach.
