Regulation2026-10-28

Poland activated new AI enforcement powers on 28 October 2026. The Commission for the Development and Security of Artificial Intelligence now handles complaints. It can inspect AI systems and impose penalties under EU rules. The electronic complaints form is still under development. The framework covers inspections, market surveillance and administrative penalties. It also allows the commission to issue opinions on AI legislation. Financial penalties depend on the EU AI Act’s categories and limits. Poland’s Act on Artificial Intelligence Systems took effect in stages. Some EU AI Act obligations for high-risk systems start later. The commission is chaired by Pamela Krzypkowska.
