YouTube Music now labels tracks created primarily using generative AI. The label appears directly on the player page. Tapping it opens a menu with more information. The same labels will expand to the main YouTube app. YouTube is teaming up with music partners to identify AI-generated tracks. It is also using its own detection tools. The labels follow the same principles already used across YouTube.

What changed

AI-generated music had no label on YouTube Music.

What it unlocks

Seeing whether a track was created primarily using generative AI.
