Android is rolling out new AI-powered scam defenses. Enhanced protection mode in Google Messages adds cloud-based scam detection. It also adds smarter link checks and built-in warnings for unfamiliar links. Notification scam alerts are expanding to hundreds of millions more devices. Android now blocks apps from enabling call forwarding in the background. Screen-sharing now automatically hides sensitive fields in Chrome and WebView. Verified financial calls check bank callers in real time. Android has blocked over 3 million spoofed bank calls since June. The rollout partners with Banco do Brasil and Itaú Unibanco. Call-forwarding protection arrives in early December on select devices.
