Slack launched Slack Code, a new type of channel where a team and an AI coding assistant work on one task together in view of everyone. Tagging an agent creates the channel, which shows the proposed code changes and a running preview, then archives itself once the task is done while remaining searchable. It works on any Slack plan, but access to each partner agent — Anthropic's Claude, Cognition's Devin, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT and Vercel's agents — must be bought separately.

Work with coding agents happened in private terminals or browser tabs, or crowded into ordinary Slack threads, invisible to the rest of the team.
