Dyna released Dyna-2.1, a full-stack physical agent for end-to-end workflows. It introduced Taku, a semi-humanoid robot with a folding lower body and two 7-DOF arms. Taku moves on four steerable wheels and matches human reach and speed. Dyna-2.1 chains hundreds of subtasks over an hour with high reliability. It handles non-linear workflows like hotel laundry with conditional decision-making. A vision-language model orchestrates the workflow and chooses next steps. The system uses human data to train robot skills faster and cheaper. Old robot data remains usable after hardware revisions. The whole-body controller coordinates movement at 100 Hz. Dyna-2.1 is the first to complete hour-long loco-dexterous workflows autonomously.
What changed
Previous Dyna systems required weeks to months of on-site engineering for new skills at new sites.
What it unlocks
Running hour-long non-linear workflows with minimal human oversight.
- 1-hour uncut workflow
- 13 decision points per laundry cycle
- 3 days to production reliability at new sites
