Stanford HAI and UC Berkeley hosted two workshops on August 12 and 13, 2026. The workshops gathered stakeholder input for California’s first annual Transparency in Frontier AI Act report. Rob Reich and Deirdre Mulligan authored a report with concrete recommendations for the California Department of Technology. The recommendations are based on workshop discussions but reflect the authors’ views alone. The report aims to guide CDT’s implementation of frontier AI transparency rules.
