Incident2026-09-24

A cybersecurity researcher published a map showing 300,000 Flock surveillance devices across the U.S. It includes 170,000 cameras and 130,000 supporting gadgets. The data came from Flock’s own leaked database snapshot. The map also reveals device types and individual camera names. One camera is labeled for FBI headquarters. Flock had previously claimed only 120,000 cameras. The researcher found a vulnerability exposing Flock’s device locations in November 2025. Flock acknowledged the report but later denied any data breach. The researcher says Flock either hid the breach or failed to detect it. Flock now demands the map be taken down. A trademark complaint was filed on Flock’s behalf to remove the site.
