Release2026-09-21

Agility Robotics unveiled Digit 5, a humanoid robot. It is the first designed to work safely next to people without cages. The robot stops and crouches when a human approaches. It can run for 20 hours in a 24-hour shift. Digit 5 has a seven-foot reach and can carry up to 50 pounds. It targets tasks like tote handling, machine tending and palletizing. Agility has one customer committed to spend $300 million on Digit 5. The robot remains in development with features subject to change. Agility plans to go public via a $2.5 billion merger with Churchill Capital Corp. The merger is pending and expected to close this year.
