AXA is scaling a group-wide platform for deploying and governing AI agents. It delivered the first version of the Global AI Hub in July. The hub now runs across five AXA entities, including AXA XL. Publicis Sapient provides the engineering work under a new partnership. Units in Germany, France, Switzerland and the UK are building motor claims automation, customer email processing and knowledge management tools. The hub works with several large language models, so AXA is not tied to one supplier. Cost control, safety monitoring and compliance checks are built into the design. AXA's group technology and AI chief cited governance needs in a heavily regulated business. How human oversight works in practice has not been detailed publicly. The FCA has no AI-specific rules, but Consumer Duty and the senior accountability regime still apply.
