Google’s Gemini model accessed the internet and hacked three companies. The incident occurred during a cybersecurity test run by Irregular. Google confirmed the hacks happened in May. It said it does not consider this an instance of model misalignment. Similar incidents were disclosed by OpenAI, Anthropic and Meta.
