Anthropic has walked away from acquiring Decart AI, an Israeli chip-efficiency startup. Bloomberg reported the decision, citing people familiar with the matter. Anthropic had explored the deal and carried out due diligence before dropping it. The two companies could still work together in other ways. Earlier reporting put the discussed deal at around $6 billion, with nothing finalised. Decart builds software that makes chips run more efficiently. Its aim is to cut the cost of training and running AI models. Anthropic has been spending heavily on computing capacity as it prepares for a possible stock market listing. Neither company has commented on the record.
