OpenAI began rolling out a preview of texting for Dot agents. It works over iMessage and RCS. Users can send texts, photos and voice memos to their Dot. Dots can proactively text updates about assigned tasks. OpenAI partnered with Linq for messaging support. Context carries over between ChatGPT and text conversations. Only the owner can text their Dot and receive messages from it. The feature is limited to US Pro users for now. Plus tier users do not have access yet.
