DK Law, a California personal injury firm, is suing ConnexAI over AI phone and software it bought. The firm alleges the phone system dropped, misrouted or failed to answer calls. It says WhatsApp messaging was effectively unusable. It also claims call recordings captured only seconds of long conversations. English transcripts were inaccurate and Spanish transcription did not work at all, the firm alleges. DK Law says it told ConnexAI in 2025 the contract would not be renewed, then kept receiving invoices. It argues the automatic renewal broke New York law requiring advance written notice. ConnexAI, registered as Connex One, sued first in New York for unpaid invoices and rejects the allegations. The California case is stayed pending New York, where a motion to stay was denied on 1 September.
