OpenAI launched ChatGPT for Financial Services, a version of its work product for banks and investment firms. It bundles paid market data from Daloopa, PitchBook, LSEG News and Crunchbase, hosted on OpenAI's own systems. Citations point back to specific tables and passages so analysts can check figures. GPT-6 Astra is the model behind it, with newer models added as they ship. OpenAI is building shared sign-in with S&P Capital IQ, LSEG, MSCI, Dow Jones Factiva and Moody's for data firms already pay for. Administrators can publish firm Excel, Word and PowerPoint templates for research notes, models and pitchbooks. Controls include single sign-on, role-based access, export of workspace logs and separate workspaces to enforce information barriers. Business data is not used for training by default. Morgan Stanley and Evercore were design partners, and the first focus is investment banking and equity research. Access is limited to eligible financial institutions via sales.
